Be a Model at Rocky Mountain Skin
Our Master Esthetics apprentice needs hours. You need brows. Come in at model pricing and get worked on by someone careful, supervised the whole time by a licensed Master Esthetician.
What This Actually Is
Utah licenses Master Estheticians through an apprenticeship. Sara is working through hers here at Rocky Mountain Skin, and part of that is doing real services on real people. She needs the practice, and the state needs the hours logged.
So we run a model program. You get the service at close to what the product costs us. She gets the reps. Jake Howard (he/they), a licensed Master Esthetician and her supervising instructor, is in the room for every single service and signs off on the work.
Nobody is practicing on you alone. That is not how this works and it is not what the license allows.
Model Pricing
What It Costs
These are model rates. They cover product and not much else. Regular menu pricing for the same services runs three to four times this.
Cash, card, or Venmo. No tip expected, though she will not turn one down. Rates go up a little as she moves into the second half of her apprenticeship, and you will always be told the price before we start.
Before You Come In
What to Expect
It takes longer
Budget about half again as long as a normal appointment. She is learning, we talk through the steps, and Jake stops to teach. That is the point.
You fill out real forms
Same intake and consent paperwork as any client. Medications, allergies, skin history, the works. It matters more here, not less.
Jake is in the room
Every service, start to finish. He steps in if anything needs correcting and he is the one who decides whether the result is good enough to send you home with.
Photos, only if you say yes
Before-and-afters help her build a portfolio. You can say no and still be a model. If you say yes, you choose whether your face is croppable or shareable.
Some days we say no
Cold sores, recent Accutane, active infection, certain medications, some pregnancies. We screen for it. If we turn a service down that day, we will tell you why and reschedule.
Honest feedback helps
If something hurts, feels wrong, or looks off, say so in the chair. She would rather hear it from you now than learn it later.
