Permanent Makeup in Salt Lake City, UT
Wake up with your look already in place. Permanent eyeliner and powder brows performed by a licensed Master Esthetician with advanced PMU training — natural results that last.
Permanent Makeup That Actually Looks Like You
Permanent makeup should enhance what's already there — not announce itself. At Rocky Mountain Skin, every PMU service starts with a detailed consultation and custom mapping, so the final result looks natural, intentional, and exactly right for your face.
Jake Howard is a licensed Master Esthetician and licensed Master Esthetics Instructor with dedicated PMU training. This isn't a side service — it's a specialized skill performed with clinical precision and an artist's eye.

What We Offer
Permanent Eyeliner
$350
Full permanent eyeliner application. Lash line enhancement, classic liner, or a subtle wing — the style is determined during your consultation based on your eye shape, preferences, and daily look. This is Jake's primary PMU service and the one he performs most frequently. Results typically last 2–5 years depending on skin type and aftercare.
Eyeliner Refresh Session
$175
Touch-up for existing permanent eyeliner. Whether it's been a year or three, a refresh session restores color saturation and crispness. Recommended 6–12 weeks after your initial session, and then as needed for maintenance.
Powder Brows
$350
Soft powder-fill brow technique for a natural, lived-in look. No harsh lines — just a gradual build of color that mimics the appearance of filled-in brows. Great for sparse brows, asymmetry, or anyone tired of drawing their brows on every morning. Results typically last 1–3 years.
What to Expect
The Process
Consultation
We start with a conversation about what you want, what will work with your features, and what to expect. Custom mapping is done before any pigment touches your skin. Nothing happens until you're completely comfortable with the plan.
Numbing + Preparation
A topical numbing agent is applied to minimize discomfort. While it takes effect, we finalize the design, confirm your preferences, and prep the workspace. Everything is single-use and sterile.
Application
Pigment is deposited in thin, careful layers. The process is methodical — building up gradually rather than going heavy from the start. You'll see the design take shape in real time.
Aftercare + Follow-Up
You'll leave with detailed aftercare instructions and everything you need for healing. A touch-up session is recommended 6–12 weeks after your initial appointment to perfect the results once your skin has fully healed.
Common Questions
Before You Book
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild pressure or a scratching sensation. The topical numbing agent handles most of the discomfort, and we check in throughout the process. It's far more comfortable than most people expect.
How long does it last?
Eyeliner typically lasts 2–5 years. Powder brows last 1–3 years. Longevity depends on your skin type, sun exposure, skincare routine, and aftercare. Oilier skin types tend to fade faster. Periodic refresh sessions maintain your results.
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to simplify their daily routine, has difficulty applying traditional makeup (due to vision, tremors, or dexterity), or simply prefers waking up with their look already in place. All skin tones, genders, and ages are welcome.
What about my existing brows or liner?
We work with what you have. Whether you're starting from scratch or refreshing old work, the consultation covers everything — including honest feedback about what's realistic for your features and skin.
How do I book?
